We have a lemon tree in our backyard that produces lemons by the hundreds. I once picked almost 300 lemons in a day and still didn’t make a dent. In an effort to use all those lemons, I’ve done some experimenting with what makes the perfect lemonade.
Here’s the lemonade recipe I think works best:
- 2 cups lemon juice (20-30 lemons required)
- 14 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
Mix it all up and chill in the fridge for about an hour.
This makes about a gallon of lemonade.
For a slightly sweeter lemonade, add 1/4-1/2 cup additional sugar.
